Electronic Communications Instructor Guide: Transmission Line Measurements


This collection, provided by eSyst: Tools for Electronics Education, includes an 8-page student guide and a 6-page instructor guide for a Transmission Line Measurements lab. This lab "aims to familiarize students with common measurements on coaxial transmission lines." The lab includes a purpose, systems rationale, system concepts, student learning outcomes, learning objectives, materials needed, lab preparation information, performance tasks, and questions. 

Lab learning outcomes include: "Explain the theory of transmission lines, name the most common types and their specifications and make basic calculations with them. Define reflection coefficient, standing wave ratio (SWR), and make basic calculations with them."
