Description:
This laboratory activity, provided by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC), explores power amplifiers by having students 'analyze four different classes of amplifiers and compar(ing) their efficiencies.' Before beginning this lab students should be able to explain the theory of operation of Class A, Class B, Class AB, and Class D amplifiers. At the completion of the activity students should be able to measure the power amplifier supply voltage, supply current, output voltage, output current, and be able to calculate the efficiency of a power amplifier. This lab should take approximately three hours to complete.
Contents:
This collection includes a 23-page student lab guide that explains the laboratory experience in detail. The guide includes the following sections: Purpose, Systems Rationale, Systems Concepts, Student Learning Outcomes, Learning Objectives, Process Overview, Lab Preparations, and more. Three related lab related files are also included.
Below is a list of the files contained within the .zip attachment. The size of each file is included in parenthesis.
