Description:
The materials for this Microprocessor course are provided by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC). This course provides introductory information for students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in computer programming or information technology. Topics covered include hex and binary codes, ASCII code, solid state memory types, specifications for serial interface systems, and more.

The 6-page Microprocessor Course Materials guide provides an overview of the course and includes the following topics: Traditional View, New Systems View, Microprocessor Instructional Materials List, Student Learning Outcomes, and Detailed Course Outline.

The labs included in this course cover topics such as programming a microcontroller, generating a serial data signal, building a complete embedded controller, troubleshooting and testing digital circuits with an oscilloscope, and debugging a program using the debugger section of a development system.
