This brief case study highlights the City College of San Francisco's Computer Networking and Information Technology program. The college's strategies to recruit more female students are outlined. The college took part in several key recruitment methods, including: Identifying female role models in computer networking and information technology and getting photos, bios and quotes for IWITTS to place in the CalWomenTech template marketing collateral and; Distributing recruitment posters, flyers, brochures and a CalWomenTech college website section featuring female role models. This narrative, and the lessons that can be learned from the success of the City College of San Francisco in this area, would be useful for other community college and technical programs looking to increase their numbers of female students.
