Building Information Modeling: An Academic Perspective

This paper, by scholars at Purdue University in building construction management and computer graphics technology, discusses building information modeling (BIM) and its incorporation into several academic departments at Purdue. The paper discusses integration of BIM in these departments: Computer Graphics, Industrial Technology, and Civil Engineering, and discusses the methods and effectiveness of the implementation, as well as the obstacles.
