WGBH Educational Foundation's Teachers' Domain site has this section dedicated to biotechnology. In it, visitors will find five sections: Applications, Careers, Concepts, Tools and Techniques, and one Lesson Plan. Each section contains interactive activities, presentations, and videos for high school or introductory college students on topical subjects such as epigenetics or DNA sequencing, on careers such as tissue engineering or quality control, concepts of inheritance, and detailed techniques for preparing agarose gel or pipetting, plus much more. The lesson plan, Using Biotechnology to Detect and Treat Disease, is a media-rich experience in which students "learn how biotechnology's techniques and tools are being used to help identify and fight disease, and examine the ethical and privacy issues associated with genetic testing." Access to these materials requires a quick and free registration with Teachers' Domain.
