FLOOD! Emergency Management

This resource, provided by The Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center (ATEEC) includes two documents relating to flood management activities. The first document is 7 pages and features two activities: Stay Dry! Use “Google Earth” to Assess Flood Risk, which asks students to determine the relationship between their location and flood risk, and Flood Recovery Town Hall Meeting, which analyzes a real-life flood as a case study and includes news articles to provide a narrative. Both activities contain a list of concepts covered, materials required, and instructor notes. The second document, a 13-page presentation, contains in-class slides for both activities.
