The webinar World of nanotechnology: Introduction to Nanotechnology was held on September 30, 2011. This webinar was presented by Dr. Stephen J. Fonash of the National Center for Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge (NACK). This presentation provides an overview of nanotechnology and an explanation of why the nano-scale is so unique. The presentation also outlines the many applications of nanotechnology today, including the use of nanotechnology in creating plastics and polymers, studying cancer cells, drug delivery, and creating better imaging tools for biological research. The webinar runs 01:26:50 minutes in length and is accompanied by a slide deck and a 1-page handout. The accompanying handout provides a list of resources related to nanotechnology that may be downloaded for free.
