This webinar, made available by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC), discusses adult career pathways and how they can help adults acquire the skills and education needed to gain adequate employment. A career pathway is defined as "a series of connected education and training strategies that enable individuals to secure employment within a specific occupation sector and to advance over time to successively higher levels of education and employment in that sector." These pathways are designed at the community level and each step along the way prepares individuals for the next level of education and employment. The presentation discusses why adult career pathways are needed, how they are designed, and the benefits they serve individuals and communities. The webinar recording runs 01:31:31 minutes in length and includes presentation slides as well as a handout that features additional resources.
