Fiber Optic Testing Course

This website from the Fiber Optic Association is a self-study course on fiber optic testing. This site includes learning objectives, definition, prerequisites, references, videos, lesson plans, and more. The six lesson plans included are Overview of fiber optic testing; Fiber optic test parameters and instruments; visual inspection, tracing and fault location; testing the cable plant, insertion loss testing; OTDR Testing; and Testing for components, networks and troubleshooting. The course is free but users may receive a certificate of completion for a small fee.
