Fiber to the Home Course

This course, developed by the Fiber Optic Association, Inc., provides an overview of FTTx (Fiber to the Home), and provides six lesson plans called: What is FTTX, FTTx Architectures, FTTx PON Protocols, Installing FTTX Networks, Testing FTTx Networks, and FTTH Design, Case Study. Each lesson plan offers a brief overview of the topic at hand, followed by related YouTube videos, textbooks, online quizzes, and, in some cases, extra credit exercises. Upon completion of the exercises, students should learn how FTTx developed and is growing; world-wide alternatives to the FTTh Network; architectures used in FTTx; and how to plan, design, and install a FTTx project.
