This collection includes the slide deck and handout that accompanied a May 13, 2011 MATEC NetWorks webinar entitled Sustaining Community College Technical Programs. This presentation addressed "the significant challenges and solutions in supporting technology programs at our nation's community colleges" at a time when "[t]echnology education programs as we now know them are at risk of being replaced by new models for workforce and economic development." This webinar was hosted by Michael Lesiecki, director of MATEC. The panelists were Jorge Rodriguez, Associate Professor of Engineering at Western Michigan University; Stanley Chase, Senior Management Consultant at AMTEC and Senior Vice President, Emeritus at Lansing Community College; and Deb Newberry, Director of the Nanoscience Technology Program at Dakota County Technical College.
