This 5-page resource, provided by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC), is the third in a series of three lab activities that are part of the DC/AC Circuits course. This activity introduces students to the basic theory and operation of a lab oscilloscope. The lab is focused on using the oscilloscope as a tool to measure voltage, time, and frequency. Oscilloscope measurement theory, terminology, and operation are stressed. The following sections are included: Purpose, Systems Rationale, System Concepts, Student Learning Outcomes, Laboratory, Prerequisite Knowledge and Skills, Learning Objectives, and more. Parts one and two of this lab series as well as the DC/AC Circuits course are all available to view separately.
