STEM Works because of Talent, Training, Time and Tools
This paper, provided by the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center for Manufacturing (FLATE), discusses the disparities present between high school graduates and the academic expectations of students entering community colleges. Specifically, the paper outlines FLATE's work to help Florida's K-14 educators integrate STEM into their classrooms, in hopes to prepare students for manufacturing and engineering careers. The "sTEm at Work" website is introduced as an example introduced as an example of FLATE's success in this area.
