Alien Species

This collection, from the Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center (ATEEC), focuses on student activities based the impact of invasive species on ecosystems. The first document is a teachers' guide containing a textbook assignment along with instructions for student PowerPoint presentations on invasive species. Also included is a rubric for the PowerPoint activity. The second document is a template for an activity where students create invasive species informational flyers. The third document contains a teachers' guide for an activity that has students create public service announcements on invasive species, including learning objectives and optional extensions to the activity. The last document is a short list of "Dos and Don'ts" for for the public service announcement exercise.
