Resource Description:

This resource contains materials used in Wayne State University's Electric-Drive Vehicles Technology professional development workshop on December 18-19, 2015 at Jackson State University. Materials previously used on June 20-21, 2011 at Wayne State University, July 10-11, 2012 at Ivy Tech Community College, and June 7-8, 2014 at Lorain County Community College are also included. The workshops were created by Wayne State University to educate other universities' four-year engineering faculty, community college instructors, and high school science and technology teachers on electric-drive vehicles' challenges, development, design, emerging technologies, modeling, manufacturing, and marketing. Materials include agendas, flyers, a professional development course, and PowerPoint Presentations.

The 2015 workshop JSU Electric-drive Vehicle folder contains the professional development course Electric-Drive Vehicle Technology. The course covers four main topics: Hybrid, Electric, and Connected Vehicle Technology; Advanced Battery Systems for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (Part 1 and BMS); Power Electronics and Traction Motor for Electric-Drive Vehicles; and Light Weighting Materials for Automotive Applications. The WSU Workshops folder contains flyers, agendas, and presentations from workshops used in 2011-2014.
