Description:

Tacoma Community College offers a Logistics course program, funded in part by the National Science Foundation, to provide students with the professional skills necessary to succeed in warehouse, inventory, and supply chain management. Logistics 112, Importing & Exporting, seeks to introduce students to “the processes and documentation used in importing and exporting products in today’s international marketplace” through a combination of in-person and online hands-on discussions, lectures, readings, and projects. The course broadly orients students to the various techniques and concepts associated with importing and exporting goods in order to provide the student with applicable skills for a future career in logistics. Specifically, this course will clarify “management and strategic issues such as sales and marketing methods, as well as technical issues pertaining to documentation and regulatory compliance.”
