Bigger is Not Always Better

This lesson, presented by the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, covers size, scale, and measurement. In the first part of the activity, students will view the classic Power of 10 video before measuring various objects in the classroom. In the second part, size effects in chemical reactions are observed. Two Teacher Preparation Guides, two Student Guides, and Next Generation Science Standards for the lesson are included.
