Exploring Our World: Fundamentals of Geospatial Science

GeoTech Center presents a series of model courses on GIS, spatial technologies, and related subjects. This first course introduces "geospatial analysis and map interpretation," including "geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), cartography, remote sensing, geovisualization and interpretation, Internet mapping, and spatial statistics." All users can access the detailed syllabus - describing prerequisites, student learning outcomes, and course objectives - available under the model courses tab. Completing the free registration allows users to view additional course materials, including lecture materials, readings, assignments, study guides, and assessment materials.
