This 68-page document, created by Tom Johannesmeyer, serves as a summary of the Northern Wyoming Community College District's 2011 Summer Energy Education Program, established for teachers and students located in the Northeast Wyoming region. The Teacher Program provides seven-to-fourteen teachers with pedagogical and collegial support to develop hands-on experiences into embeddable lesson plans for enriching energy-related science concepts at their home institutions.

The 2011 Guide summarizes the activities from each of the five days of the program, providing necessary background information of each location to participants. Day one covers the Powder River Basin, Big Horn Mountains, Thermopolis Hot Springs, Wind River Canyon, and the Strathmore Minerals & Gas Hills Uranium District. Day two focuses on the Green River Formation and the South Pass City / Atlantic City Mining District in Southern Wyoming. On day three, discussed are Hell's Half Acre & Casper Arch, and the Smith Ranch-Highlands Mine, while day five discusses Osage Oil Field and the Bear Lodge Mountains Rare Earth Element District. The guide culminates with day five, which discusses the Dry Fork Station & Coal Mine and the Powder River Basin Coal Bed along Interstate 90. Included in the guide is a complete bibliography, alongside diagrams and maps, which are spread throughout.

The 2010 Teachers Summer Energy Education Program Field Guide is included with this resource.
