This lesson, developed by Mandy Adami, reviews students' knowledge of Wyoming energy resources as they relate specifically to Wyoming geography and infrastructure. The culminating activity will have students demonstrate their knowledge of the different types of energy in Wyoming, and where they are located on a map. Students will be asked to recount their knowledge of a mining topic and design a small model to represent their aspect of the energy industry. The project will require students to design symbolic models of the energy source or related infrastructure and preform an in-class presentation based on what they learned.

This project, which can be adapted for students in upper elementary through high school, is designed to be used as an assessment activity, and should allow students to research, identify, and explain, the different ways energy throughout Wyoming is used.
