This video, from the LEAD with Guitars in STEM project, is the first in a series of two demonstrating the steps for setting up a guitar. The host, Doug Hunt, first demonstrates fret leveling uses a notched straightedge and fret rocker to ensure all frets on the guitar are the same height. He then moves on to string nut installation, including standing the string nut and conducting any needed nut slot repair. Finally, saddle adjustment is demonstrated along with the installation of the first strings. This YouTube video runs just over 20 minutes and will be of interest to educators and students of guitar building and repair.
