Guitar Finishing Techniques: Wet Sanding a Lacquer Finish

This video, from the LEAD with Guitars in STEM project, demonstrates the process of wet sanding the body a guitar after spray painting in order to prepare it for buffing and polishing. The host, Doug Hunt, explains the importance of wet sanding before demonstrating the set-up process and the detailed sanding itself, first with 1000 grit sandpaper and then with 1500 grit sandpaper. This YouTube video is one of a series on guitar finishing techniques. It runs just under 10 minutes and will be of interest to educators and students of guitar building and repair.
