This collection of factsheets from the University of Michigan's Center for Sustainable Systems is designed to inform students, teachers, business professionals, and policy makers on a variety of topics that affect the environment. Factsheets are updated annually and peer-reviewed. "Each factsheet presents important patterns of use, life cycle impacts and sustainable solutions." A link is provided to a sustainability quiz that uses information from the factsheets.

Factsheets about the Built Environment include Commercial Buildings, Green IT, Residential Buildings, and U.S. Cities. Climate Change factsheets cover Policy & Mitigation, Science & Impacts, and Greenhouse Gases. Energy factsheets include Biofuels, Geothermal Energy, Photovoltaic Energy, U.S. Energy System, U.S. Renewable Energy, Unconventional Fossil Fuels, and Wind Energy. Factsheets on Material Resources include Critical Materials, Municipal Solid Waste, and U.S. Material Use. Factsheets on Sustainability Indicators include Biodiversity, Carbon Footprint, Social Development Indicators, and U.S. Environmental Footprint. U.S. Wastewater Treatment and U.S. Water Supply & Distribution make up the factsheets about Water. There are also factsheets about Personal Transportation and the U.S. Food System. All of the factsheets may be downloaded in a PDF booklet format.
