STEM Careers: Engineering/Manufacturing

DeafTEC has created a section on their website with details about engineering/manufacturing careers for hearing impaired students. The page includes answers as to why students should consider a career in engineering/manufacturing, helps them determine if this career path is right for them, and lists skills they will need, both technical and personal. Video testimonies of deaf or hard-of-hearing STEM professionals currently in the field of engineering/manufacturing are also available.  Lastly, a section on the types of jobs in this field lists sample job titles, short job descriptions, and job requirements. In addition, quantitative information from the 2012 TopTenReviews is listed for each job, such as the median pay, pay range, number of jobs, and job growth.
