Job Skills Validation Process
This 6-page resource, provided by the National Convergence Technology Center (CTC), is a process document developed to explain the annual "KSA" validation meeting, the cornerstone behind the unique "BILT" (Business and Industry Leadership Team) model. The BILT model maximizes a program's relationship with business and industry. The "KSA" validation involves a structured meeting in which business and industry experts provide concrete feedback on a list entry-level technicians must have. The "KSA" validation meeting ultimately produces a worksheet that faculty can use to map skills to courses and make sure graduates are learning what business needs them to learn. This process works with any discipline.
