This video from MatEdU and T.E.A.M. provides information on the creation of burn masks. Burn masks are used to keep skin grafts in place and are worn for about a year. In 2006 Harborview Medical Center contacted CIMMed for assistance with creating burn masks. President of CIMMed, Steve Kidd discusses the medical center's 8-12 hour process of creating a mask and explains the new process. CIMMed uses subtractive technology to create the burn masks in about 30 minutes. This video runs 3:53 minutes in length.
