IceCube: South Pole Neutrino Observatory

This website provides information about the University of Wisconsin-Madison's IceCube particle detector located at the South Pole.  IceCube is the world's largest neutrino detector that searches for violent astrophysical events such as, "exploding stars, gamma-ray bursts, and other cataclysmic phenomena involving black holes and neutron stars."  The website includes a news section that is updated weekly with reports from the particle detector in the South Pole.  There are also resources highlighting the science behind IceCube.  Additionally, sections describing life at the South Pole and photos and videos are included on the website.
