Four-Dimensional Ecology Education Framework (4DEE)

This webpage, created by the Ecological Society of America, details a proposed framework for providing ecologists with the fundamentals for teaching the general public the science of ecology.  This framework includes "core ecology concepts, integrates humans throughout the ecology curriculum, showcases how the core ecology concepts are connected with important biological themes, and provides guidance on the science practices that the Ecological Society of America wants all ecologists to have after exposure to a college level ecology education." These four dimensions of the framework feature specific topics that are outlined on this webpage; definitions for some of these concepts can also be found by navigating to the page entitled "Definitions," found on the upper right hand section of the webpage.
