This webinar, provided by EvaluATE: Evaluation Resource Center for Advanced Technological Education, discusses a five-step claims process for ATE evaluators and PIs. This five-step process includes identifying claims worthy of evaluative investigation; defining how to measure impact in meaningful, yet practical ways; determining how to make a strong case that the ATE project caused the observed impact; and setting up performance standards to aid in interpreting evaluation results. The objectives of the webinar include: articulate an important claim about a project's outcomes, identify evidence needed to gather to justify claims, and better understanding of NSF's expectations for ATE evaluation.

The webinar recording runs 1:23:56 minutes in length. Supplemental materials include PDF webinar slides and a 1-page handout. The handout includes the following sections: Claims & Evidence Evaluation and Using Claims & Evidence to Evaluate Professional Development: The PRISM Case. The handout also includes links to additional resources.
