These best practice guides, provided by the Centers Collaborative for Technical Assistance (CCTA), include helpful tips on receiving larger National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Grants. CCTA offers a series of NSF ATE best practice guides. CCTA comprises five NSF ATE centers. CCTA was formed "in response to a Department of Labor request for technical assistance services to recipients of Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grants."

This collection includes two guides, a long and short version, that include fifteen helpful tip intended to help people seeking larger project grants from the NSF ATE program. This information was gathered during a roundtable discussion at the 2016 ATE PI Conference from NSF program officers, other ATE PIs, and individuals from the ATE community. Both versions of the guide include an expanded description of tip ten: effective partnerships expand impact.
