Composites 101

This webpage, from the American Composites Manufacturing Association, provides an overview of composites in manufacturing. A composite is defined as "a material made from two or more different materials with different physical or chemical properties that, when combined, are stronger than those individual materials by themselves." Included in the webpage is information about the materials that composites can be made from, how they are manufactured, the history of composites, and how composites function within the manufacturing industry.
