Rectification and Inversion in Motor Drives (Part 2 of 2)
This video, provided by Columbia Gorge Community College, is the second part of a two part lecture that serves as an introduction to rectification and inversion on a generic motor drive. The lecture examines "how a generic motor drive rectifies incoming 3 phase AC with a fixed magnitude and frequency entirely into DC, then inverts it into outgoing 3 phase AC with a variable magnitude and frequency." The lecture also discusses "pulse width modulation (PWM ) inversion and how three properties: fundamental frequency, modulation index, and carrier frequency respectively influence frequency, magnitude, and quality of the output voltage waveform." This video runs 11:25 minutes in length. The first part of the lecture is available to view separately.
