Mathematics for Photonics Education

This collection, provided by the National Center for Optics and Photonics Education (OP-TEC), includes an 137-page mathematics student review guide and related videos. This student guide is intended to help students studying photonics gain adequate math skills. The following topics are covered: scientific notation, unit conversion, introductory algebra, powers and roots, ratio and proportion, exponents and logarithms, graphing in rectangular coordinates, geometry, angle measures in two and three dimensions, trigonometry, and special graphs. Chapters include objectives, example problems, and exercises.

The Mathematics for Photonics Education Videos (11).zip attachment includes 11 video lessons. Each video corresponds to a topic covered in the student review guide. Videos run from 15:07 to 38:41 minutes in length.
