  • Identify basic security concepts and concerns, including risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Describe the tradeoffs associated with securing a system.
  • Recognize common threats to network security and associated security controls to manage those threats.
  • Explain ethical issues associated with vulnerability management.

The module is divided into the following three units: Basic Security Concepts, Common Attacks, and Cyber Defense Mechanisms.
