This 3-page resource, from the STEM Guitar Project, is an activity for creating an electric guitar template design. The learning objective of this activity is "to teach students the fundamentals of electric guitar body template design by tasking them to actually make a useable paper cardboard template given accepted standards and principles." Participating in this activity should result with students understanding "... the anatomy of an electric guitar, its parts and components - as well as to appreciate the science and logic behind the placement of guitar hardware and the need for discipline in exact scale, width, length and human factors of guitar controls know and switch placement to make the instrument fully functional." This resource includes sections on learning objectives, required materials, safety, the activity, references, and more.
