Low Cost Additive Manufacturing Production/Integration Models

This report, written by Eric Wooldridge of Somerset Community College, explores low-cost additive manufacturing (AM) technologies, and discusses the benefits for start-up and small manufacturing businesses that implement AM. This project contains five case studies, complete with data, images, and descriptions. Additionally, this project presents research on companies that have already adopted 3D-printing into their manufacturing practices. Over the course of this 43-page report, Wooldridge demonstrates that low-cost AM technology has significant manufacturing potential as a process method and business model.
