Map Projections Module

This module is provided by GeoTech Center, and introduces concepts that are related to map projections. Module contents include a video recording, a PowerPoint presentation, and a quiz that reviews the content presented in the module.

The Concept Module is a recorded PowerPoint presentation provided by educator Ann Johnson, who introduces map projections, and the challenges of creating a two-dimensional model for a spherical Earth. Additionally, this module covers topics including common map distortions, different projection surfaces (planar, cylindrical, and conic), and web mapping. The video recording runs 15:28 minutes in length.

The quiz contains eight questions that review the material covered in the module video. The quiz includes multiple choice and true/false questions.
