During this webinar, provided by the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE), presenters discuss best practices for improving outcomes for veterans in solar training programs. Presenters include Megan Howes from the Solar Foundation, and Eric Filante from NABCEP. During the discussion, Howes provides information about the Solar Foundation, the growth rate of solar jobs, solar capacity in the United States, and analysis of diversity and inclusion in the solar industry. Howes later provides information about the Solar Training Network and the Solar Ready Vets Network. The Solar Ready Vets Network "strengthens solar career pathways and advances a nationwide pipwline of military talent into all levels and sectors of the solar industry."

During the second half of the webinar, Eric Filante discusses the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) and its eight board certification programs and three Associate credentials. Filante also talks about the value of board certifications in the solar pv industry and NABCEP's veteran initiatives.
