Collection Description:
This collection includes interview and survey evaluation reports conducted for the POWER Careers project at Idaho State University. The overall mission of the project was to "achieve equity for women in energy technology career fields by increasing their successful participation in high quality, proven energy systems programs, using strategies that will help retain non-traditional women students through graduation and placement into professional positions."

Content Description:
This collection includes three student engagement survey reports, an interview findings report, and an interim report. Each report includes the survey or interview methodology and findings.

Student Engagement Survey
The 26-page student survey findings report from 2017 asked current and former students about concerns prior to enrollment, challenges faced during the program, most helpful aspects of the program, other support needed, mentoring, and more. Each topic is addressed in the report.

The 17-page student engagement survey findings report provides a summary of the survey results. This survey covered areas such as how students heard about the program, reasons for enrolling, barriers prior to enrolling, support from the project prior to beginning classes, student involvement with the project, connections to contacts in the industry, mentoring experiences, and more.

The 19-page student engagement survey from 2019 addressed the following topics: interactions with project staff, participation in project activities, support with overcoming challenges, and experiences and challenges faced as a woman in the program.

Interview Findings Report
The 20-page summary of interview findings from 2017 was created to provide a summary of results from interviews conducted with incoming, current, and former students. The interviews covered the following topics: how students heard about the program, reasons for enrolling, barriers prior to enrolling, support from the project prior to beginning classes, student involvement with the project, connections to contacts in the industry, mentoring experiences, and more.

Interim Report
The 45-page Interim Report from 2019 provides a summary of the projects evaluation activities. These activities included a site visit, two focus groups, 12 key informant interviews, and the fall 2018 engagement survey. There is also a section that provides a summary of findings and recommendations.
