How to Avoid Common Pitfalls When Writing Evaluation Plans for ATE Proposals

This webinar, published by Western Michigan University Evaluation Center, explores mistakes made in evaluation plans and how to fix such issues. In the video, Lyssa W. Becho begins with an overview of evaluation and why it is important to include evaluation in a proposal. Next, Becho explores pitfalls and how to avoid them. These pitfalls include choosing an evaluator that is internal to the project, having no clear justification for evaluator choice, creating an overly general plan, possessing unclear connections between the project activities and the evaluation, and only asking the easy questions. Two Q&A breaks are provided. Finally, the presentation supplies a toolkit and other resources.

The webinar recording runs 1:32:15 minutes in length. Webinar slides and three links are provided. The links include two blogs and a toolkit for writing evaluation plans for ATE proposals.
