Forward in Energy Forum: Clean Energy, Jobs, and Economic Recovery

This video, published by the Wisconsin Energy Institute, is part of a monthly forum series on clean energy. In these videos, panelists discuss the global transition to clean energy. The forum's goal is to "encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue to explore the important technical, social, political, and economic dimensions" of clean technology.

This video focuses on the impact of Covid-19 on the United State's economy and how investment in clean energy can rebuild the economy and create jobs. The discussion is placed within the context of equitable workforces in the clean energy sector where people of color are underrepresented and adversely affected by the job losses in the fossil fuel industry. Speakers also consider the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people. The forum is moderated by Scott P. Williams and the forum speakers are Ellen Barlas, Sara Conzemius, Ken Walz, and Larry Williams Jr. A Q&A follows the forum. The video recording runs 1:21:10 minutes in length.
