This 25-page report, published by Istanbul Technical University, describes the design and construction of DERE, an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). This report was created by the ??????????ITU ROV Team, a student group that participated in the 2021 MATE ROV competitions Explorer class. MATE ROV is a global underwater robotics competition for STEM students. The competition includes Explorer, Ranger, Navigator, and Scout classes.

In the report, an abstract introduces the team and project. The report then explores safety considerations. Next, the design of the electronics and power system, MicroROV, mechanics, and software development are discussed. Design topics range from grippers to user interfaces. A section on organization management then details how tasks and responsibilities were split up. The report then considers testing and troubleshooting, challenges, lessons learned, future improvements, and reflections. Finally, acknowledgements, an appendix, and references are provided.

Manuals for each class and technical documentation from other teams are available to view separately.
