This 21-page report, published by Hoffman Estates High School, describes the design and construction of J.O.S.H., an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). This report was created by HAWKS Engineering, a student group that participated in the 2021 MATE ROV competitions Ranger class. MATE ROV is a global underwater robotics competition for STEM students. The competition includes Explorer, Ranger, Navigator, and Scout classes.

In the report, an abstract introduces the project and group. The design rationale is then presented, which includes information on mechanical design, mission-specific tools, electrical design, and software. The report then provides information on the group, project development, accounting, the group's safety philosophy, safety rules and procedures, and testing and troubleshooting. Finally, information on community outreach, areas for improvement, acknowledgements, systems integration diagrams, and references are provided.

Manuals for each class and technical documentation from other teams are available to view separately.
