This lesson plan from Breathe Utah and the STEM Action Center - Utah is an introduction to coding. The lesson is intended for 3rd to 5th graders and includes the aligning SEEd Standards. During the lesson, students will conduct coding tasks with Sphero robots. Each grade level has different tasks, including creating an obstacle course for ozobots (3rd grade), creating a circuit pattern and a way to transmit information through circuits (4th grade), and coding a machine that will help provide a solution to the problems of erosion (5th grade).

Lesson materials include STEM Best Practice Task Cards, a Coding in the Classroom presentation, and a list of coding resources. These materials are available to download for free in .pdf, .docx, and .pptx formats.
