This webinar is part of a series of Mindful Mobility Tech Talks hosted by the Columbia-Willamette Clean Cities Coalition. In the webinar, Mark Quarto, Rich DeMary, and Chris Quarto introduce the Electrified Vehicle Systems Standards based Training for a level 3 certification, developed by the Northwest Engineering and Vehicle Technology Exchange (NEVTEX). This session focuses on power control systems and highlights 3-phase power inverter systems and controls, regen braking systems, power electronics system cooling, and vehicle cabin HVAC systems. Mark Quarto explores level 3 certification learning outcomes, topical areas, and required tools and equipment. DeMary introduces the SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC) and illustrates what the certification process looks like for instructors and technicians. Chris Quarto highlights the three levels of electrified vehicle systems (EVS) standards and certification, pathways towards certification, adaptive learning, on-demand training, hands-on training, industry partners, and a website to retrieve certification resources. The video recording runs 1:18:31 minutes in length.
