Introduction to Agriculture - Understanding Basic Concepts
In this video, Dan Swafford from Virginia Tech introduces students to precision agriculture. Swafford explores basic agricultural concepts, such as crop yield, and also highlights the roles of and decision-making for plant food, fertilizers, minor elements (micronutrients), nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and soil acidity. The video is designed to accompany the Introduction to Precision Agriculture educational curriculum. This educational curriculum was developed to target the educators associated with middle schools and informal groups, including 4-H, Future Farmers of America (FFA) clubs, etc. The video recording runs 26:37 minutes in length.
