This video from Laser-Tec is part of a series of light and optics experiments. This lab explores beam expanding collimators. Through this lab, participants learn about laser beam collimation, optical components for collimating a laser beam, and how one determines the distance between two lenses in a beam expanding collimator. Equipment includes a red laser diode module, laser holder, bi-concave lens, bi-convex lens, three lens holders, an index card, a ruler, pencil, and white sheet of paper. The video recording runs 10:38 minutes in length.
