This video, from the 2021 Esri Education Summit, introduces best practices for implementing and managing the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem for educational institutions. In the video, modern GIS is defined and the importance of access is highlighted. Pillars of success in GIS are also discussed, which include treating GIS as an enterprise-wide system, central funding, and collaboration at the institutional level. The integration of GIS with an institution's authoritative systems, enabling new member defaults, utilizing credit allocations, streamlining software and licensing distribution, what to do when users leave, and transferring content are also explored.

The video recording runs 45:22 minutes in length. Additional videos from the summit are available to view separately.
