SCADA Systems and the Human Machine Interface

This video, from the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE), is an online workshop designed to introduce faculty and industry professionals to material and labs developed to teach learning outcomes associated with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in the context of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) for renewables, particularly solar. Content from this workshop can be embedded into any existing energy, manufacturing, and process control curriculum.

In this video, the following topics are highlighted: HMI, Lumen SCADA software, solar SCADA examples, Python code for SCADA, HMI standards, data spreadsheets, modern HMI standards, and solar energy hardware.
